WHYY in Philadelphia

I was in the shower this morning when I heard (on NPR station WHYY) that today is College Challenge Day during their winter pledge drive. And...we're totally leading the pack! Blowing Temple, Drexel, UPenn, and all the dozens of other Philadelphia-area colleges out of the water! Cool. Of course, the challenge ends in a few minutes, so hopefully that lead will continue.

Thank you, Philly area Smithies, you are all so wicked cool. Especially Sarah for working at the radio station.

We did by leaps and bounds!

Smith: 41 (at last on-air count)
Temple and other local colleges/universities were hovering around 25-30.

The announcers kept saying such wonderful things about Smithies and bringing up the 7 sisters and all, and because we won, I stayed in my car listening to Gaudeamus Igitur on the radio long after I should have gone running into work.

Hooray! (Yet another instance in which Smithies have totally brightened my day!)
